It seems that with all the hype out there of losing weight and losing fat that we lose sight of the simplest question: “how to lose 1 pound?”. If you can’t learn to lose one pound, then you can’t lose 5, 10, or even 20 pounds.

We gotta’ go back to the basics, if you can learn to lose 1 pound, just one pound of fat, then you can repeat that success to lose however much weight you want to lose whenever you want to lose it. And no one will be able to tell you different because you will know what works for you and your body.

Next you should make sure that you’re hydrated. We’re not trying to lose water weight, you need water. You’re body is made up of over 70% water. Without it you can’t function properly and it makes losing weight (fat) harder.

Here’s the biggest secret to losing 1 pound: Creating a daily calorie deficit consistently long enough to see weight loss.

What’s a calorie deficit? A calorie deficit is getting to the end of the day or 24 hour cycle and having burned or used up more calories than you consumed.

Every time that you do that you will lose weight.

How To Lose 1 Pound A Week Of Fat

A pound of fat is said to be about 3,500 calories. That’s means that if you want to lose 1 pound of fat you would need to create a calorie deficit of 3,500 calories. This doesn’t have to be done in one day, but over a number of days.

The key though to losing pure fat is in the protein consumption and in doing exercises that build lean muscle. You’ll want to eat enough protein that you can support an increase in lean muscle mass while still creating your daily calorie deficit.
