The best way to get rid of cellulite is to build the muscle and burn the fat. Cellulite is fat, an excess or surplus of unneeded and unwanted fat. So in order to get rid of cellulite you have to get rid of fat and to do that you have to burn the fat and build the muscle.

There are three major ways to burn fat. The first one is naturally through your own fat burning metabolism. Your metabolism is the single greatest factor in burning calories and thus burning fat. Calories are energy and fat is created from an excess or surplus of leftover energy from the day.

In order to increase your metabolism you must develop lean muscle mass. Your muscle mass is the greatest factor in increasing your metabolism. How high your metabolism is is directly related to the amount of lean body mass that you have. The more lean muscle that you have the higher your metabolism will be and the more calories that you will burn at rest everyday. This means that you can screw up your diet more and miss a few workouts and still look great. It’s all related to the amount of lean body mass that you have.

For instance, it takes more calories or energy for a 125 pound person with 6% body fat to walk 1/4 mile than it does for 125 pound person with a 25% body fat. It’s kind of like the rich get richer and the poor get poorer… the lean get leaner and the fat get fatter. Unless you do something drastic to change the situation that you’re in.

The more lean you become and the more lean muscle that you build the easier it will become to burn more fat, burn more calories, and ultimately to get rid of cellulite. It’s like your efforts are compounded.

The next big factor in burning fat is your calorie consumption and from where your calories come. You have to cut back on your total calories while eating enough to maintain lean muscle mass, and be satiated. All the food you eat should still taste good and be enjoyable.

And the next greatest factor in burning fat and getting rid of cellulite is the amount of calories you burn during a workout or exercise. It’s these calories that you burn that are usually left over and over time turned into fat, which turns in cellulite. Your goal in most of your workouts should be to burn 200 to 500 calories.
