<p>Getting rid of cellulite can be a challenge if you don&#8217;t take action on the right information.  But if you do, then getting rid of cellulite is a cinch, and it won&#8217;t come back.</p>
<h2>Hands Down The Best Cellulite Exercise</h2>
<p>There is no doubt that interval running/sprinting is hands down the best cellulite exercise.  Have you ever looked at a woman sprinter before?  I guarantee that you have never seen a real sprinter with cellulite before.</p>
<p>There is a reason for that.  Sprinting works &amp; develops every single muscle in the body and you get great health benefits from it to.  Even women who &#8220;body build&#8221; for a living recommend sprinting to develop great legs.  Unlike most every other exercise, in sprinting you work every single muscle.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why is this important?</span></p>
<p>Developing lean muscle (especially in your lower body) is key to getting rid of cellulite.  Cellulite is caused by excess fat that is usually stored in your troubled areas (thighs, behind your leg, and butt).  Then as the excess fat builds up in those areas it pushes towards the surface so to speak.  As it pushes up through these connective tissues &amp; fibers that hold your skin on, it creates the dimpled appearance we call cellulite.  The problem isn&#8217;t the connective fibers and tissues, it&#8217;s the fat.</p>

<p>I love this workout and it is one of the best home exercises there is for getting rid cellulite fast.  What you do is get a chair and put it behind you.  Then grab yourself some sort of weight (dumbbells) that you can hold in each hand.  Now do a squat (sit in the chair) and on your way back to a standing position press the weight above your head.</p>
<p>This exercise works your butt, hamstrings, thighs, back, arms, triceps, lats, lower back, and your stabilizer muscles and it can be done at home or in the gym.  It&#8217;s easy on the body and can be done on the go or while you are traveling.</p>
<p>Try adding this exercise into your routine two times per week.  Do six sets of 15-20 repetitions.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t forget the protein.</p>
<p>You can work out till kingdom come, but you will get very little benefit out of it if you don&#8217;t eat enough protein to support muscle development.  It doesn&#8217;t take a lot.  I just ask that you eat a balanced diet.  A balanced diet is 40% protein, 40% carbohydrates, and 20% fats.</p>
<p>Try and eat protein (a small amount) at every meal.  Also try and eat &#8220;good&#8221; carb and &#8220;good&#8221; fats when you have them.</p>

<p>I mean surely you don&#8217;t have to go another spring, summer, fall feeling uncomfortable about wearing shorts in public or around your significant other.  So, what can you do about it?</p>
<p>In order to get rid of your cellulite you should know that you will have to build lean muscle (especially in the areas where you have cellulite) and burn your excess body fat.  These exercises help you to do just that &amp; you can do them from home.</p>
<h2>Cellulite Reducing Exercises That Actually Work</h2>
<p><strong>Exercise #1:</strong>  Interval Jump Roping.  I know when you were a girl you probably use to jump rope or do some double Dutch for fun with the girls.  Well, who knew that jump roping would be such a great workout later in life that can help to get rid of cellulite?  Well, it is.  But there is a slight key to making it effective in getting rid of cellulite.  That is to use intervals.  Jump rope for 1 minute hard &amp; then take 20 seconds off.  Repeat for 15 minutes.  During that time you can mix in double leg jumps and single leg jumps.</p>
<p><strong>Exercise #2: </strong> Full Body Weight Squats.  One of the biggest crazes right now is home fitness.  You really don&#8217;t need a &#8220;gym membership&#8221; to get in the best shape of your life right now.  You can easily do it at home, in any room that you have available.  One of the absolute best exercises that you can do is &#8220;full body weight squats&#8221;.  This exercise works the entire lower body, and more importantly your trouble areas (butt, thighs, hamstrings).  You know… the areas that you have cellulite.  The one caution to this exercise is that you have to be careful at the bottom of your squat to keep your knees behind your toes so that you don&#8217;t put to much pressure on them.  It&#8217;s good to do 4-6 sets of 10-15 with a 1 minute break in between to start.</p>
<p><strong>Exercise #3:</strong>  Double knee hops.  This one is fun and challenging.  What you do here is stand with your feet body width apart, and jump.  While in the air you want to bend and lift both of your knees into a tuck position and up to your stomach.  You keep repeating this &#8220;jump tuck&#8221; position over and over for 20 seconds to start.  Then take a 20 second break and repeat.  Do this exercise for 5 total minutes.  Like I said, it is challenging (but fun &amp; effective).</p>

<p><strong>How Do I Get Rid Of Cellulite On My Thighs?</strong></p>
<p><strong>Tip #1: Eat fat loss plates.</strong>  Fat loss plates are plates that have at least two main characteristics.  They have both protein and slow carbs on it.  Protein helps to burn calories, build lean muscle, control hunger, and increase your metabolism.</p>
<p><strong>Tip #2:  Do isometric butt squeezes</strong> to start your day, every day.  When you wake up in the morning, just flex your bum and hold it really tight for 20 seconds.  Then release for 20 seconds, and repeat.  Do this for 3-5 minutes.  This will help to start to develop lean muscle in your bum which is needed to burn excess fat (cellulite) and increase metabolism</p>
<p><strong>Tip #3:  Use Cold Water Treading once per day.</strong>  Have you ever heard the saying, it&#8217;s the little things that count.  Well, in this case it&#8217;s true.  Just little changes in what you are doing can have a huge impact on your over fitness.  So, cold water treading is just filling the bathtub with some cold water and &#8220;treading&#8221; so to speak with your arms and legs.  What this does (because of the cold water) it causes your body to start trying to heat itself up.  This raises your metabolic heat and burns calories.  You only need to do this once per day for 30 seconds to 1 minute to get results.</p>
<p><strong>Tip #4:  Do &#8220;ball wall squats&#8221; 3 times per week.</strong>  All you have to do is grab an exercise ball and put it behind you while you lean back onto it.  Then start to do squats.  Start with the ball level to your lower back and as you do your squat, it will roll up to your upper back.  Do at least 15 of these in a set, and 4-8 sets per day.</p>

<p>Now the name infers that the exercise has to do with doing something in the morning, but it doesn&#8217;t.  It&#8217;s actually just the name of the exercise. lol</p>
<p>Good Mornings are a total booty, lower back, and hamstring exercise.  Meaning it will work your all of your booty muscles, your lower back muscles, and your hamstring muscles.</p>
<p>This is great news because your bum and behind your legs is where cellulite gets really bad, yet it&#8217;s a very important feature (that&#8217;s often seen) for women.</p>
<p>If using Good Mornings only to get rid of cellulite, then you should do them three times per week.  Focus on doing them consistently with a controlled slow tempo for 20-30 seconds.  Then break for one minute and repeat the exercise.</p>
<p>Do this for 10 minutes each workout day.  The con to this workout is that it doesn&#8217;t build or develop the thigh muscles, so you will want to add an exercise to the workout that will develop lean muscle &#038; strength in your thighs.</p>
<p><em>How do you do Good Mornings?</em></p>
<p>You sit a barbell (medicine or fitness ball or sandbag) or your neck, and with your chest up and out, head up, and shoulders back&#8230; you &#8220;bow&#8221; forward.</p>
<p>You bow over till your upper body is parallel to the ground.  Then you return to a standing position.  Keep your legs straight, and start the movement or &#8220;bow&#8221; with your hips back first.</p>

<p>One of the best ways to do this fast is by doing plyometrics.  Plyometrics (plyos) are explosive movements and they cause your body to recruit all (or a large portion) of the muscle in the area in order to do the movement.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s what makes plyos so amazing for getting rid of cellulite.  You activate and use, and build all of the lean muscles in targeted areas which help you to reduce, reduce, and reduce the cellulite until it eventually goes away.</p>
<p>Plyometrics should be done only twice per week because the exercise is very demanding on the body and you should have at least 72 hours between these two workouts also. </p>
<p>Some plyometric exercises include: standing jumps, jump rope, double legged bounding jumps, alternating lunge jumps, and box jumps just to name a few.</p>
<p>As you can see that each of these exercises are pretty explosive and force you to really give effort and explosiveness to complete each and every repetition.  That is the key to the success of this type of workout.</p>
<p><strong>Frequently Asked Questions of How to Use Plyometrics to Get Rid of Cellulite</strong></p>
<p><em>Q.  How many reps should I do in a workout?</em><br />
A.  8-15 reps is good&#8230;but you can also go by time and do as many as you can in 15-20 seconds.  Then take 30-60 second rest and then repeat the exercise.  You take a slightly longer break when doing these exercises because they are more taxing on the body and you want have good recovery so that you can have a great next set.</p>
<p><em>Q.  Why do you have to wait three days between each workout?</em><br />
A.  As my coach use to describe it&#8230; think of your body and muscle like a battery, when you do the plyo workout it&#8217;s like running the battery down and now you need to recharge it and it takes 48-72 hours to do that fully, so that you can be 100% charged for the next plyo workout.  This isn&#8217;t true for all other types of exercises.  You can still do most other workouts on the days in between your plyo workouts.</p>

<p><strong>What exactly is a squat press?</strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s a squat that is done with a barbell or dumbbell at your shoulders and after you rise near to your standing position (after doing the squat), you then &#8220;press&#8221; the weights up into the air.  You then return the weight to your shoulders while standing&#8230; and do a squat again with the press right at the top of your squat.</p>
<p>This exercise builds lean fat burning muscle in your bum, in your thighs, behind your leg, shoulders, back, and behind your arms.  It also works your core region really good and helps you to get stronger there to.</p>

A.  Just something light to start.  You will have to be able to lift this weight above your head over and over for 30 seconds.  Then you will have to do at least 6 sets of this. <p>Walking is such an underrated way of exercising for fitness.  It&#8217;s usually just thought of as being something you do to stay health, but you can&#8217;t get fit with it.  Well that&#8217;s false&#8230;you most certainly can.</p>
<p><strong>3 Walking Exercises That Blast Away Fat and Cellulite</strong></p>
<p><strong>1.  Uphill walking.</strong>  Walking uphill (or on an incline) is such a great workout.  Because of the incline your muscles actually have to work a little harder to move forward.  Walking uphill is like doing a bunch of little mini lunges because you have to lift your body to the next level up the hill to walk up it.  It forces the lower body muscles to grow.  When going down hill, be careful not to pound your feet to hard on the pavement as it is a little more strenuous on your knees.</p>
<p><strong>2.  Speed walking.</strong>  Speed walking also forces the body to use and recruit more muscles than a regular stroll at the lake.  Just picking up the speed a little bit helps to develop some lean muscle which will also increase your metabolism and help you to burn more fat.</p>
<p><strong>3.  Walking in the sand.</strong>  I know that this isn&#8217;t an exercise that every woman can do, but if you get a change to do this, even at a local lake that has sand, please do.  It&#8217;s a tough workout and again forces you to use and recruit more muscle to be able to walk.  It&#8217;s okay to do this exercise with or without shoes, it&#8217;s up to you.  Oh, and sand it is also easier on your joints.  If you can&#8217;t get to sand, try walking in the grass to and through your local park right through the sand box and around the park again and through the sand box again.</p>
<p><strong>Frequently Asked Questions About Using Walking To Get Rid Of Cellulite</strong></p>
<p>Q.  How many times a week should I go?<br />
A.  At least three times per week, but I would like to see you go 4-5 times per week and mix in as many of the three types of speed walking above as you can.  Go for at least 30 minutes.  If you can only do 20, that&#8217;s okay, that&#8217;s better than not going at all.</p>
<p>Q.  Are there any safety precautions?<br />
A.  You should always check with your doctor about your overall health, but the only other precaution is to try and bring a partner whenever you can and never walk at night alone.</p>
<p>Q.  Should I use ankle weights?<br />
A.  No.  I believe that ankle weights put to much strain on your joints.  The added benefit of using the weight is far outweighed by the health risk that using ankle weights cause.</p>

<p>This is a staple move in most lean muscle building programs and for good reason.  Unlike it&#8217;s sister exercise squats, each leg operates independent of each other.</p>
<p>This helps each leg learn to carry it&#8217;s own weight.  This helps each leg to develop strength and lean muscle.  What&#8217;s also great about lunges is that you can work your lower body in ways that you can&#8217;t with squats.</p>
<p>One of the best <strong>ways to use lunges to get rid of cellulite</strong> is to do them three times per week.  A lunge only workout can be done in less than 11 minutes.</p>
<p><strong>The best lunge exercises are:</strong></p>
<p><strong>1.  Box lunges.</strong>  Box lunges are lunges that you put a box in front of you (usually at least 12&#8243;) and lift your body up to the box, then lower yourself on that same leg with no pause in between.</p>
<p><strong>2.  Side lunges.</strong>  Standing with your feet shoulder width apart take a step laterally (usually about 2 feet) out to the side and squat your hips over top of of that leg.  Then lift yourself back into a standing position and then step to the other side.  Keep doing these back and forth.</p>
<p><strong>3.  Walking lunges.</strong>  These are just like they sound, you start walking forward and doing lunges on each leg as you walk over the top and into the next lunge.  You will need a little space in front of you in order to do it. You can also walk in a circle if you don&#8217;t have at least of 10 feet of room.  Don&#8217;t forget you can always go outside or in the backyard if you don&#8217;t have enough living room space.</p>
<p><strong>Frequently Asked Questions About Getting Rid of Cellulite With Lunges</strong></p>
<p>Q.  How many reps should I do?<br />
A.  Try doing the exercises based on time and not reps.  Work on a 2:1 ratio to start.  So if you do lunges for 30 seconds, break for 15 seconds, then start again.  Do the workout for 11 minutes.</p>
<p>Q.  How do I keep my knees from hurting?<br />
A.  If your knees are hurting then you are letting your knee bend out pass your toes.  This means that you aren&#8217;t squatting (bending) at the hip enough and keeping your chest up and out while you go down into the lunge.  You can also stop going so deep on the lunge.  Try doing a shallower lunge.</p>
<p>Q.  Do you need to use weights, and which kind?<br />
A.  You don&#8217;t have to use weights.  Actually more than likely you won&#8217;t be able to use any weights at first because it&#8217;s a pretty tough workout even at only 11 minutes.  If you do want to use weights you can use a small barbell on the back of your neck or a pair of dumbbells at your side.</p>

<p>Swimming (although challenging) is easy on the body.  You can do it at any age&#8230; and most of all it can help you to get rid of cellulite.</p>
<p><strong>The key to using freestyle swimming to eliminate cellulite is to: be consistent and to use interval swimming.</strong></p>
<p>Interval swimming is a swim where you swim hard for a bit, then rest (or active rest) for a bit, then repeat.</p>
<p>The fast, or hard swim, is key here because that&#8217;s when you start to build the type of lean muscle that you need to get rid of cellulite, boost your metabolism, and build lean muscle (vital for getting rid of cellulite).</p>
<p>The downside to using swimming to get rid of cellulite is that you aren&#8217;t building as much lean muscle in your bum that you need.</p>
<p>So, to combat that what we do is use a hard push off the wall every time you complete a lap and turn to go back the other way.  That small little movement plus the big time overall fat burn you get from swimming is enough to see great reduction in cellulite in all of your troubled areas.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s important to note also that it will take 5-8 weeks to really see big reductions in your cellulite from freestyle swimming, but it will come.  You will notice changes before, but you will have to continue to work to get there, but that&#8217;s okay because we are looking at the big picture right?</p>
<p><strong>Frequently Asked Questions About Using Swimming To Get Rid Of Cellulite</strong></p>
<p>Q.  What&#8217;s the workout?<br />
A.  Swim two laps in an Olympic size pool (50m each way), then rest for the equal amount of time it took you to swim those laps.  Repeat.  The total workout including rest is 20 minutes.  You can increase or decrease this to your liking.</p>
<p>Q.  I swim mainly with my arms, how will this effect my cellulite on my butt?<br />
A.  First, you will still get rid of fat all over your body which will effect the cellulite on your lower body.  Secondly, learn to swim (freestyle) using your legs.  This motion is important.  It will help you to build lean muscle in your legs.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s a total body fat blaster and has extreme cardiovascular benefits also.  You can do it in your home, outside on the road, in the grass or sand, or at the local track.</p>
<p>This is why running is really hands down the best overall exercise for getting rid of cellulite, getting fit, and getting in the best shape of your life.</p>
<p><strong>So, how can you use running to get rid of cellulite?</strong></p>
<p>A.  Start off with low ratio running.  Don&#8217;t try and make up for lost time right now.  Just start off slow.  Look at the big picture.  Walk for 1 minute, then run for 10 seconds.  As you get stronger (over weeks, not days) then increase your run time slightly in 2-5 second increments.  Once you are at a 1:1 ratio, then you can start to decrease your rest time and/or increase the intensity of each run.  Before you know it you will be able to go out on a 20 minute run with ease and speed.</p>
<p>B.  Run at least twice per week.  As you get stronger, more flexible, and use to running, you can increase to 3-4 days.</p>
<p>C.  Stay consistent with it.  Give your body some time to make adjustments and to show you it&#8217;s working.</p>
<p><strong>Frequently Asked Questions About Using Running To Get Rid Of Cellulite</strong></p>
<p>Q.  What&#8217;s the best surface to run on?  The track is the best surface, but sand provides such an interesting change up.  It&#8217;s tough though.  I always try and mix in at least one day on the grass or sand  because it is easier on the body.</p>
<p>Q.  When should I stretch?<br />
A.  At first when you are running slower and for small amount of time, you can just do a very light stretch to start and then stretch after. When you start to run faster then you will have to implement a quick 2-5 warm up either doing some jogging or jump rope and then stretch your major muscles for 2-5 minutes before you run.</p>
<p>Q.  How long should my workouts be?<br />
A.  20 minutes is great here.</p>
<p>Q.  Is speed that important in my running?<br />
